Random Five Friday

Another shot of the bees this week, as I am totally smitten.

I whipped up a batch of these on April Fool's Day and presented them to my students in a nice baking dish covered in foil.  My class thought it was hysterical, well after the initial shock of the situation :)

I have been teaching for eighteen years, but have never used this type of discipline strategy.  This teacher is my hero......

I enjoyed this tune on the way home from work just the other day.  I am glad the kids weren't in the car.....they would have made me turn down the volume.

Softball this weekend.  Batter up!

  6. Isn't it amazing how kids think THEY are the only ones who appreciate music? Nothing better than cruising down the road with good music blasting and rocking out.

  7. what a cool teacher you must be!! Loved the SM tune and can relate to turning the volume up. What a fabulous shot of your bees...I cannot get enough of bee literature or information, I know I've said this before but you are so lucky to have your own hives!

  9. The bees rock! I enjoy a little SMB on the radio, too.
Softball - LUCKY!! Our boys have baseball practice in the school gym every day. There is only so much you can do in a gym & they say it's the longest two hours ever. A community member plowed snow off the baseball field, in hopes to speed up the thaw & readiness to play.
Looking like a SHORT high school season again this year with winter not leaving.
A friend of mine said she made Brown E's for her husband - I had to use my imagination. Thanks for the visual!

  12. We also have bees in our coat of arms, but I am not completely at ease near them. That teacher's idea is simply great and I really liked to hear Steve Miller again...

  16. Brown Es . . . hilarious! You are a hoot. I'll bet you have such good control over your class that you don't even need that Belgian teacher's method.

Are you too young for Don McLean and American Pie?

  21. Ever seen Steve Miller? I saw him last year. Even at 66 he still puts on a solid 2 hours of toe-tappin, hit after hit.
    Favorite? Love Abracadabra.
