Thankful Thursday

Thankful this Thursday for the safety of my parents who live in the Florida panhandle.  Also thankful for a son with a wicked sense of humor and a daughter who didn't post my, "fierce face", photo on Facebook.

Even though, I hear, it was quite the comic hit with her friends.

  4. So glad that your parents are safe. My son and d-I-l live in Athens, Alabama and a tornado touched down very close to them but thankful they are safe. We've been having some wicked weather!

  8. I'm glad to hear that your parents were spared in the devastation. When I was 6 weeks old our house was demolished in a tornado in Oklahoma.. had my dad not shielded me in his arms I would not have made it through alive. You're a good mom if your kids are wonderful. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

  14. I've GOT to see that Fierce Face!!! Don't you love being ridiculed by your kids?! My youngest comes home from school and says that her friends laughed and laughed when they heard what I mistakenly said (in private and in jest) to her yesterday... And I wonder why her friends think I'm weird...

  19. Very happy to hear your parents are okay, and it sounds like your kids have a great sense of humor. They do have a way of keeping us grounded. You shared a great photo, and do love this red sign on black and white. Great quote also.

  20. I am also glad that your parents "weathered" the nasty storms affecting the panhandle. Fierce face? We gotta see it. I am reminded that both of my kids quaked when they saw Dad's "stern face." "No, anything but the stern face!!!"
