Random Five Friday

Taken through the windshield, this shot shows some of the stormy weather we have been having this week.

I mixed up some homemade weed killer, (1 gallon vinegar, 2 cups epsom salts, 1/4 cup Dawn dish washing liquid), and I was only mildly impressed.  Okay on small weeds, but no match for the large, angry weeds.

I have featured this young man on here before, but this video shows how much he sounds like Paul Simon.

Did you know today is Friday the 13th, and it is a Full Honey Moon?  Won't happen again until 2049.  You can read all about it here.

Jimmy Fallon and Chris Christie show you all the moves you need for Father's Day on, The Evolution of Dad Dancing.

Father's Day weekend is before us, go make it a good one!

  7. I saw the moon last night, it is gorgeous. Since I retired, I seem to have a difficult time remembering the dates. How great that the barn was right there, together with the threatening cloud. A wonderful picture.

  8. I wish we could see the moon tonight, but it's cloudy and drizzly here.. wah! Enjoy your moon.
    ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

  10. Lots of green grass and a sealed road - very pleasant. Hope your summer storms don't bring too much damage, but rather, welcome rain.

  15. Great photo, and love that video! He's really got the Paul Simon vocals down and some very tricky guitar parts on a complex song.

  16. Great (?) weather in your region, Michelle! Or: something you might call weather at least! We had boring sunshine, blue sky and hot tempertatures all week long - "yawn weather"... ;-)
Enjoy a great weekend with your loved ones,
    Uwe.

  17. Not bad for a 'through the windshield' shot! That sky is so dark!

  27. We've also been having a very rainy, stormy spring, but it's good as everything is so green and beautiful!

I really enjoyed listening to Josh sing--he is a very talented guitar player. I see a bright future ahead for him!

  28. Tried a similar homemade weed killer and also didn't notice many "fatalities" Michelle. We also have thunderstorms the past few days with torrential downpours, and your photo definitely showed threatening skies.

  30. Jimmy Fallon cracks me up. He is so funny in the dance sketches. I'm glad to know someone tried the homemade weed killer...you just saved me a few bucks getting the ingredients. I figured it wasn't tough enough.

  31. Love a good storm and the clouds that hang overhead. What? It was a Friday the 13th? Guess I tend to over-look that as well as the bad luck stigma people attach to it. We have two granddaughters that were born on the 13th of their birth month... best luck we ever had. xox

  33. It is good to know that on the weed killer, I have been planning on trying it on some bermuda grass...hmmmm a new plan may be prudent.

  34. Very ethereal photo.
Josh has got some good musical talent as well as that great voice, it takes skill to do some of those quick multiple chord changes up and down the fretboard.
