Stormy Night

Storms moving through our area last night provided a fantastic lightening show while on our way home from a neighboring town.

An even worse storm early this morning left a tree down in the yard.  Other damage is minimal and all animals are accounted for....whew.

One bad storm + frightened dogs in the bed = limited sleep

The man-child of the house is away at football camp for the weekend.  This means I am going to need to help with the downed tree.

I miss him terribly.......

  5. Storms are bad enough to go through . . . and then downed trees and clean up too . . . not fun!
You'll be welcoming home that young man with open arms . . .

  6. They made it over our way by about 430am but was mostly just a normal storm by the time we got it. Not much rain either. I really don't like cutting up a tree this time of year but if it falls near the house it has to get done. They will take care of it later.

  8. We never get great thunder and lightning here.. only a few and they go through fast.. hey, that tree will wait for your boy to return home!
Enjoy your week. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

  9. I like storms - if they don't cause any damage. We seldom have thunderstorms here, and if they're usually in the winter. Some lightning and thunder... not much. Very different to where I come from where we had huge summer thunderstorms - first the sky would turn green and then all hell broke loose... fascinating (if you were safely inside).

  10. Glad only a tree was damaged during the storm and that all the fur-babies were accounted for. Perhaps the tree removal can wait for your man-child to return from football camp, or a neighbor might happen by and lend a hand. Good luck! Wishing you a good week.

  11. Glad you are ok and I say just leave the tree if it isnt too much in the way, and when the man child comes home, he can take care of it for you.

  28. Hi Michelle, Do you think the weather is getting more weird? Well, it sure seems that way to me. Your storm was powerful. If it was me, I'd leave the tree till someone could help remove it. Regarding that flower ... it looks like a dahlia. It sure got some damage too. You take care and take it easy moving that tree! John
