Friday Randoms

This baby pine cone is growing and gearing up for the winter months ahead of us.  The Old Farmer's Almanac says we have another cold winter approaching.

My husband bought a used garden tiller from a friend's grandfather with the report that it will, "dig to China."  We shall see.......

Finally put this on the ipod yesterday......

Are you a fan of Dirty Dancing?  Here are 5 things you likely didn't know.

We are headed for a scorcher of a weekend.  If you are in the vicinity of the heat wave, stay cool!

Linking up with Tanya today!

I am so tired of the heat! Ha ha. Maybe I will think differently in mid-January. Enjoyed the 5 things about Dirty Dancing. Have a good day. John

We are still hot here...hoping for a cold, wet winter and it can begin any time in my opinion!

Any pans for the tiller's first job?

  7. I like that "itty, bitty" pine cone . . . with this heat, I am ready for warm colors of gold and orange instead of hot steamy weather!
I am looking forward to some of the white, frosty, falling stuff too . . . just happen to like it . . . maybe not three or four feet of it for many months though!

  17. I know that many folks up North had a doozy of a Winter this past year, but I would sure love to have a cold Winter here in East Texas this coming Winter... It has been a while since we have had one, and it sure would be nice to have some cold weather. Would help to clear out a lot of the bug population too....

  23. It's cooled down here considerable but still warm enough to enjoy the remainder of summer. School starts in a week (after Labor Day) and I'll be back bowling again. Where has time gone. Pretty shot of the Pinecone. - I loved Dirty Dancing and actually got to visit the resort where it was filmed.
