Friday Randoms

Drowning in green beans can be a good thing.  Our sweet neighbors offered us a row for the taking  picking.  This bunch is not even half the amount that ended up in the freezer.

I might be hooked on Jimmy Fallon.  His latest singing game with Adam Levine is just too funny and spot on.

If you have ever had the unfortunate experience of a hospital stay, then you should check out these pics of hospital food from around the world.  Poland is all about minimalism......

My son is coaching a, "Powder Puff Football Team".  For those not in the know, powder puff refers to female football teams that face off during the school's homecoming festivities.  Typically the football players coach the young ladies.  I am interested to see how this works out for him......

You know you need some music to send you off into the wilds of the weekend!

Linking up with Tanya today!

  3. What a score with the beans! They will be wonderful all winter for you. My daughter played Powder Puff last year and I must sya that the boys "coaching" them were more fun to watch...frustration written all over their faces.

  6. We were a little short on green beans this year - cold start to our growing season, everything seemed stunted. I admire your bounty!!
I was able to can a few quarts of dilly beans, but the husband has almost eaten them all already. :)
Our school has a Powder Puff football game during homecoming, as well!

  9. Oh those beans made me hungry. I love fresh green beans with bacon and onions.
I hope your son has great fun coaching the Powder Puff team.
    Love Heart - Great music.
That hospital food was something else. Poland and that last place, I think it was Serbia sure don't feed people much at all. Hope the medical care is better then their food looks.

  11. If I was there I would enjoy helping you work up the green beans...always loved the work of canning and freezing food.

Boy, I was working at CBS in Terre Haute, Indiana when Crazy on You came out...I worked at presses that made the actual albums.

  12. That's a lot of green beans! How I wish I lived on the other side of your neighbors :) Adam Levine video is funny! I don't want to visit Serbia, their hospital food not enticing at all, if I end up at their hospital.

  14. Ah, green beans - I picked a mess of them from the garden this week and what didn't get prepared for dinner went straight into the freezer. It's been what we call a 'good bean year'. Thanks for the link to the music - hadn't heard that one for a long time. And a nice chuckle with Mr. Levine.

  20. Ah, this post reminded me of two things:
I caught the tape of Jimmy Fallon and Adam Levine - it was hilarious, and so real "down to earth"!
Powder Puff - back in high school about 100 years ago, my mom wouldn't let me play so I ended up being the water girl. :)

  21. You are so fortunate to get fresh produce like these green beans! I was surprised how expensive fresh veggies are here in Colorado, because we always had good prices in NY.Green beans here are usually close to $3 a pound!

  22. Things like these don't happen often around here!

  23. Off to check out the Jimmy Fallon clip. He cracks me up!

  24. We love green beans and would definitely enjoy a big bowl from someone's garden. We've decided that we need a new spot for gardening so we'll try again next year. Maybe we'll try some beans!

  25. Looks like the hospital food link could have been a lot worse had it not been for the passage of time. According to these visual ... errr .... treats , it would appear that most countries seem to think that the food could have something to do with recuperation and an early exit from the bed / hospital. We used to have a double meaning advert here from when we had a national railway company ... "we're getting there".
