Friday Randoms

Sometimes we even get a little excitement at the end of our small country road.  This blimp floated overhead last Sunday afternoon.

Here are some photographs that are most definitely worth a look.

Our neighbors, down the road, have a donkey.  Thus far I haven't seen him, only heard him.....

I heard this lady on the radio several times this week.  Funny how you won't hear a song forever and then it just reappears.....

I was crushed to learn that Forrest Gump's house isn't real!  Some days moving to Greenbow, Alabama, and living in that scenic house sounds pretty good!

Linking up today with Tanya!

  9. I get excited when I see a blimp, too. Maybe it's because they just don't seem to belong up there in the air.;

  13. Love the blimp flying over.. glad you saw it and grabbed an image! Loved seeing the Forrest Gump house and am very sad that it was razed after the movie was over.. ::sigh:: You're right.. it really did look like so many old houses I've been in.. the designers did a fab job. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

  15. Great photos! I enjoyed seeing them...but I have to say there are often photos JUST as wonderful right here on the blogs! I'm in awe of some of our fellow-bloggers! The blimp sighting was neat...we saw one a few months back on our way to church. And, as for Forrest Gump's house. I actually hated that movie. So stereotypical, so ridiculous in so many ways. But I never understand why they would build a house for a movie when there are so many out there they could use. (Why they film a movie like Cold Mountain in Romania, instead of Tennessee!) I get why they wouldn't go to Viet Nam for those scenes, and S.C. works as a good stand-in! :-) And with CGI they can do almost anything. But I always feel a little amazed that when something is set in one southern state, they have to go two states over to do all their filming. Why??? It's annoying.
