Cow Days
This weekend was Smalltownland's annual pause to celebrate all things cow and community related.
Our Cow Days Festival brings in different types of craft vendors,
as well as artistic displays of all kinds.
Our football team played in the, "Cow Bowl", on Friday night with a great victory.
Secret Agent Farmer Man and our trusty Border Collie, Rainy, sold raffle tickets for this classic flat bottomed river boat. Built by SAFM himself, as well as some of the trap shooters.
The most classic attraction of our small town festival is Annie the cow.
For fifty cents you can milk her and get a cup of kool aid.
A kid's dream.......
Kool Aid from a cow? Oh dear. My sister is a quilter. She would love seeing the quilts at this fair.
ReplyDeleteooh, neat hand-crafted boat made by your crafty hubby! love the pup, too. some cool crafts to peruse. i'll skip the elsie koolaid, though. :)
ReplyDeleteLooks like you were in the mooood for cow days but who would beef about a festival like that?
ReplyDeleteThe cow is too funny, but everything else would be something I would buy. The boat....wow.....!
ReplyDeleteThat cow is hilarious. Looks like another fun festival. xo Laura
ReplyDeleteI'll pass on the Kool Aid too! Love the photo of SAFM and Rainy. Looks like a lot of fun. Wishing you a nice week, Michelle.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun time!! Tell your guy that I'm really impressed with all the work he did to raise money for a good cause! How cool is a flat bottomed boat?! That one stand with the cool stuff.. I can see me dropping some fundage there! ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
ReplyDeleteI was just going to type exactly what Linda E typed! The cow is too funny!! Craft fairs and festivals are always great fun! How cool that the handmade flat-bottomed boat was raffled off. I would have had trouble letting it go...
ReplyDeleteOur fair season has begun too.. I think it's the best kind of celebration, something for everyone.. even Koolaid from a cow. :-)
ReplyDeleteAnnie the cow is a hoot! I think I would like some of the merchandise found around the Stone Tavern Pantry. Looks neat!
ReplyDeleteAnnie the cow is no doubt the winner . . . I wonder how confused children there will be . . . "Where's test sweet "pink"milk?"
ReplyDeleteThe funny thing is, those indoor photos look so much like my own hometown ballroom while a quilt show is going on. I'm so glad your little town is so vibrant!
ReplyDeleteI want a cow days festival, too! It would fit to our "cownty" so well! I'm sure my entire family would love to milk kool aid!
ReplyDeleteA great way to enjoy an almost fall day.
ReplyDeleteHappy Sunday.

Love that cow! And the boat, oh how I'd love to have that.
ReplyDeleteHi Michelle, a really enjoyable post, and just imagine - a cow who produces a fizzy drink, haha. Sounds like a fun day out. And such talented people about.
ReplyDeleteIn answer to your question about steampunk headquarters. Yes you can go in It is a museum of sorts but on the day we just looked from the outside. Someone came out and fired up the engine while we were there and smoke and fire belched out of the top along with the steam train noises. Quite impressive. I'd like to do a day trip just to go inside sometime.

looks like our festival, called Cedar Fest. We don't have a koolaid cow, though....lol....
