Forever Working

Yesterday we had unseasonably high temperatures for the end of October.  That brought out all insects, birds, and flying creatures to enjoy this bonus day from Mother Nature.

The front porch Mums seemed to be the gathering place and quite a few honeybees joined in on the warm weather fest.

It was good to see them out and about.

All different types of bees were enjoying the Mums.

Tomorrow signals the start of cooler weather.  As in low thirty degree temperatures at night.

  1. We are much the same here. We have one more day of warmer temps today and the bottom falls out just in time for trick-or-treat. Lovely photos, I especially love the one with the bees legs coated in pollen!

  12. Nice mum photos that capture your bees getting their (possibly) last stash of pollen before the low temps. I imagine you have stored up quite a bit of honey from your lovely bees. I've been on a raw pollen kick that I buy from a mountain man in Colo. Delicious and good for me. -- barbara
