Friday Randoms

The ever exciting back view of our barn which, I hear say, might be covered in snow this weekend.  This will be our second bout with the four letter word this season.  It is going to be a long winter.

I will be attempting this cake recipe over the weekend.

I would love to buy this sweet rental, that blogger won't highlight for me.   However....Tommy Hilfiger's house is just too much for me.

Bob Seger has been playing on my computer this week.  Here is one of my favorites, which also gives you a playlist on the right of the screen.  You are welcome.

Famous pieces of art that we are all familiar with, but should look like this.

Linking up with Tanya today :)

  1. Got some 'blues this AM. Thanks for that lil bit of Seger. Where's my Harley? Now, living in TH's house would provide me with a 24 hour headache. Really!?????!!!!
I do love your barn. What no horses?

  11. I bet that barn is outstanding in a coat of white snow. I certainly am preparing my brain, if not anything else, for a long winter. But, that's okay. I know that spring will come eventually. Have a great weekend.

  17. I am very disturbed by the realization that priceless works of art have not only deteriorated in their color and clarity through the ages (which I knew) but were also sometimes cropped, cut through, made to fit in smaller spaces!!!! AGGGHHHHH! Reeeeally!

  21. we haven't had snow yet, but had a few flurries yesterday...it really has been so cold! we have rain coming sun/mon and there was some snow in the forecast but now it's taken off...we'll see though how it plays out. the art link was interesting. do you watch "somebody's gotta do it" with mike rowe? there was an episode about actors acting out scenes from famous paintings and i saw them do the last supper. it was really cool! i pinned that cake! have a great weekend, stay warm and thanks for linking. show us the barn again in some snow!

  22. Already down to 26 tonight so it will be cold enough for snow but we aren't supposed to get any over across the blueridge, you can have it all, good luck.

  23. That cake looks delicious. Let us know how it turns out.
Goodness there was quite a difference between those 2 homes. I must say that Tommy's is certainly interesting and colorful. Imagine that banana bathroom, wouldn't stay in there long I'm guessing.
Bob Seger is another of my favorite artists. Good music for sure.
So interesting to see the different art pieces.
Loved your barn, it's very photogenic. Enjoy your snow if you get it. Ours is still here but it's slowing warming up. Yeah!

  25. Mmmm.... That cake will be a hit! Sounds like snow will be wide spread this weekend if it is headed for your part of the country also. Keep that shovel handy!

  26. I must tell you - I'm not wery good with English language - so don't mind if my comments are odd somethimes . - We are waiting snow here. The days are getting short and dark. If there is snow it lightens these short days.

  27. I love looking at and reading about the artwork. It's all so interesting. I can't believe we are going to have snow coming either and these extremely cold temps are crazy. Have a great weekend, Michelle. xo Laura

  28. Nice barn pic. (Perhaps mundane for you, but a nice change of pace for me.) I'm dizzy from looking at the interior design of Tommy Hilfiger's house. Yikes! Michael Kors just purchased a property down the road on Longboat Key. Makes me wonder what the inside of his place will look like. Have a nice weekend!

  29. Hi Michelle, I like this idea of 5 randoms on Friday. Gonna put one of these posts together soon. Now, on this post: Love the vacation rental and can understand your desire to buy, but just rent for a week would be awesome for me. Lots of smiles on the art work link. Going back to Thursday for a moment, maybe it's just me but your link badge for Good Fences tries to go to a non-existent page --> run-a-electroencephalographs ... Have a great weekend, John

  30. Sounds like everyone, except us, are in for another cold winter. Wishing you all the best with the snow and all.

  31. Seems that folks either love or loathe snow, and after spending the past 10 years in the south, we found we really missed seeing it, which is why we have decided to relocate to enjoy the white stuff. The barn looks quite nicel and should be beautiful even when snow covered

  32. We are getting a lot of rain, with floods and everything... I hope that snow, which is rare here, will spare us this winter!

  33. That rental property is an amazing place, my eyes were drawn to the skittles on the table ... most unusual table decoration.
