Llama, Llama

Friday afternoon I had to meet Secret Agent Farmer Man at a local auto repair garage to drop off the farm truck.

This auto garage has llamas residing right beside the building, because, here in Smalltownland, that's how we roll.

They were slightly friendly, although mostly curious.  They both had fantastic eyelashes.  Maybe it's Maybelline.....

This is what happened when they realized I had nothing for them, except my loving friendship.

I think they were looking for cookies.

  1. I wonder why one is muzzled? Don't want to explore that. There MUST be a reason. Do they spit? Or do they bite?

    1. One is wearing a harness, not a muzzle. . They do spit, but I can't say that I am familiar with their daily behavior.

  8. I saw someone giving some away on craigslist, it sounded like a hoax as the last I heard they were selling for a good price considering they are little camels of sorts and could have some bad behavior built into them.

  13. The one with the muzzle is probably a spitter. Getting spit on by a llama is not fun. Don't even ask me how I know :)

  17. It still seems odd to me that llamas are found on domestic farms. They seem awfully exotic to me.

  19. awwww, I love those curious little faces!!!

when I photographed the birds in my last 2 posts, I was using a 300mm lens, but I believe I had to pull out a little because I was so close. I don't edit my pictures, ever. those were sooc and I use my Nikon like a point and shoot on auto focus. I think my Nikon does all the work and I get very lucky with the birds.

  20. LOL! Reminds me of a youtube video the girls and I used to laugh at; It was a little girl telling her Mom: "I only love you when you give me cookies!"
    They are lovely creatures though.

  26. They are cute but when my one boy would go near them. They spit at him. Not the other children and he was not teasing them.

They have their own personalities. They either love you or spit at you. Ha-ha.
