Back on Track

Trying to get back on track this fine Sunday morning, after taking some time off to spend with my parents in the lovely sunshine state

It was a wonderful time spent with family and good weather.

Now, it is back to gray, gloomy skies and dampness all around......

I could have spent a few more days trying to get a closer photo of this fine fellow.

Chores at the farmette are calling my name.  I shall catch up with all of you later today.

Enjoy the remaining few days of 2014!

  6. How nice for your family to get to go to Florida and spend time with family! We spent time in Panama City when we lived in Louisiana. The sand was like sugar and beautiful clear waters. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

  7. These are beautiful shots! I have so much to do but a terrible head cold has descended on me and I feel like muck. Hopefully tomorrow will be my "get back to normal" day.

  11. Such beautiful photos of some lovely places.
Yes, after the magical time of Christmas, things seem dull around here...my house is a wreck with Christmas stuff all packed in tubs for another year. Tomorrow, I will dust and clean things up so that it looks normal around here again. It is now time to breath.

  13. Hi Michelle, What a neat post ... enjoyed the pics. It got me thinking ... in some of my travels this past year I met a couple who retired in Hawaii. I know the Sunshine State is Florida, but it's kind of the same as Hawaii, isn't it? :-) It's funny, living up here in Seattle I don't think much about that kind of thing in the summer but right now it doesn't sound too bad. Have a good week ahead. John

  23. I smile.. because here in the far frozen north we have new transplants a couple of miles away from Tampa.. their first Minnesota winter. (or ANY winter, really.) I can't tell you how many times I've thought during week after week of gray gloom what a difference this must be from the Sunshine State! The cold too, and the ice, and the snow. But the lack of sun more than anything!
