Overtaken

Overtaken is the word of the day.

When I stopped to photograph this barn, I wanted to capture its current state of being overtaken by the surrounding tree growth.

After uploading the photo, I was a bit overtaken by the beauty of the sky.

Funny what you can almost miss by focusing on just a single item.

"Clouds come floating into my life, no longer to carry rain or usher storm, but to add color to my sunset sky."

RabindranathTagore

  16. Your photographer's eye must have noticed the clouds without your realizing it -- because you gave it such a good part of the photo. It's sad to see old barns abandoned and falling to ruin when at one time they were such vital parts of country life.

  28. Great cloud enhancing scene.
When I was pre - digital and pre - blogger, clouds were an inconvenience to a sunny landscape. These days it gets my full attention with an extra dimension as it can make a picture complete.
