Thankful Thursday

Let us pause here at mile marker #1 to be thankful today.  Thankful that I work at a school that passes out free gloves, to every student, on a cold winter day. Thankful that a homemade pot of chili tastes better on the second day.  And, finally, thankful that my daughter shares all of the crazy stuff that happens during her school day.

"Be grateful for what you have and stop complaining - it bores everybody else, does you no good, and doesn't solve any problems."

Zig Ziglar

Linking up with Teresa today....

  1. Yes it is always good to be thankful in every circumstance. I have never heard a gloves being given out at school but a great idea if the children have not got any.

  4. Your school board - or is it the teachers - must be very special, Michelle. And you must be special too if your daughter so willingly shares her school life with you. ;)

  12. This just tells me that your school is a caring school. How wonderful to pass out gloves to the kids. I wish they would do that here with some of them - just yesterday I saw a kid riding her bike to school with no gloves. This might be California, but that doesn't mean that it never gets cold - especially when you're riding a bike in the morning. I love your photo, such a beautiful atmosphere.

  13. What a beautiful picture. Good that your daughter shares with you. I did too, with my mom, over a cup of hot chocolate and a french roll when I came home from school on cold and wintry days. I have never forgotten those moments when so much trust was established between us.
