Marching On

Frozen ruts and slippery walks;
Gray old crops of last year's stalks.

Christopher Cranch

March is roaring forth like a lion with a chance of more snow this week.

Dreary days are short numbered as the first day of spring waits for us later this month.  I am sure these equine friends are as ready for it as I am.

Trap shooting practice starts this week and the first softball scrimmage is next weekend.  Winter's rest is over at this household.

  19. Judging by the sheer number of northern license plates here in the Sunshine State right now, I think many people are fed up with Old Man Winter. Hope the softball field doesn't have to be de-iced. 😀

  23. You will all be glad of the spring warmth, it's been a long hard winter in the northern hemisphere. We have officially begun autumn here in the New Zealand, but the temps are still high. Hoping the snow disappears before the warm weather sports begin.

  24. Do you trap shoot? I have one time long ago...it was fun. And we have this little hand-flinger thing to fling the clay pigeons and used to do that every so often....that is the most fun!

    1. Rose, I do not trap shoot. I photograph all of it! My son is a competitive shooter both in trap and pistol.
