Time Flies

This young man turns eighteen years old today.  And, as I have heard so many parents say before, where did the time go?

I had to take these pictures of him on the fly.

Below is him telling me not to take his picture.

His birthday plans include fishing and target shooting.  He is a pretty low key kind of guy.

A guy....not a boy anymore.

  1. What a good looking adult now. Very handsome. You must be so proud. Congrats on his Birthday. We always say that the Dutch way. When someone has a son or daughter. We also say congrats Mom and dad too.

  5. Ahhhh, I remember that day. She graduated and three months later we headed to UC in Cincinnati. She came home to "do some laundry" a couple of times in the first few months and as a lot of colleges do, when the school was closed and they closed the dorms. The next year she moved off campus and that was pretty much it...she was determined to make in this world on her own. I am so proud of her. Runs her own business now. She still has a place here if ever needed but that will never happen.

  7. Happy birthday to your son!
When I was filling out our 2015 calendar, I got to November and it hit me - that time flying thing - when entering our three November boys' birthdays. Our twins will turn 18, I wrote "adult kids" on that day. (Their next brother turns 13 one week before.. hard to believe he'll be a teen.)
Low key young guys are nice to have around, hope his day is great!

    1. Thank you, Teresa! As of yet, he is rather undecided about the future. Although, I feel a trade school is more in his future than college.
