What to Say

Yesterday was one of those days when nothing  happened.  As in nothing, zero, zilch.....you get the picture.

No manure on my person, no donkeys in the yard, and I even cooked supper.

Yet another barn I pass each day on my way to work.

It is one of those times when I feel like I have nothing to write about.  And, I mean that in the best way.  We have been floating along in the ordinariness of life.

It's been nice.

Then, I looked at the weather forecast.  Flood watch tomorrow immediately followed by a Winter Storm Watch.

Multiple inches of rain and snow?

I don't know if I need a canoe or a snow blower....maybe both.

"A lot of people like snow.  I find it to be an unnecessary freezing of water."

Carl Reiner

But then the sun comes out and . . . . jeepers I feel alive again and change up another gear . . .
It is becoming abundantly evident I am living in the wrong country which should be situated or or near the equator , , , lol

I gather you are a teacher, are they little or big horrors?
My daughter teaches too ~ very hard work ~ she teaches 7-8 year olds. . .

  2. I saw a forecast for tomorrow that said "Wednesday- ?". Others say 4-15 inches of snow. I think it makes it even worse when the weather folks can't even agree on what is about to happen. LOL! I'm ready for winter to get out of town- it has definitely outstayed it's welcome here.

  6. I feel the same today. What to write? I wrote about 'nothing'. G. Costanza would be proud of me. Just a travelog... driving over a bridge. Nothing. Yes, another fine barn.

  11. Sometime there's nothing more relaxing than a day when nothing happens. But flooding and more snow will change all that!

  12. It seems like the older I get, the less I like a cold winter. I wish we had barns like that to take pictures of here. Thank you for your support, it means a lot.

  13. I hope you don't get buried in snow -- but the boring days sound lovely! Our forecast is for cloudless sunny days for the whole week and up to 67 deg! Oregon is rocking it! ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

  16. Living on a farm is like that. Some days are so full there doesn't seem enough hours in the day to get through the work, other times it's so peaceful and there's nothing much going on. Nice barn photo!:)

  17. I hope you weather it well! As for me, I like snow--if I'm looking at it through a window with a fire at my feet and a book in my hand.

  18. I feel you.....the weather has certainly not given any of us great opportunities to take photographs....the sun did shine here today for a couple of hours and now is gone. Not sure which I would prefer...the snow plow or the canoe.

    1. Shug, we do actually have a canoe, so maybe I could get in it and slide down the hill when it snows. Dual purpose?!

  33. It could be much worse... but that doesn't really help much does it. Perhaps a nice glass of wine and a leisurely soak in the tub. :)

  34. We need spring, don't we? I hope you don't need either s canoe or snowblower...ugh! I couldn't agree more with your opening comments, a day without anything IS nice...a gift.
