Thankful Thursday

An old house, in Bardstown, that needs a little love.
Thankful this week for a bad situation turned good.  The softball girl had her gear bag stolen, with all of her equipment in it.  After a few days we were convinced that it would never be found.

During that time, countless people offered us their help and equipment for her to use.  How wonderful is it to have people offer assistance during trying times?   Incredibly thankful for the kindness of friends, and acquaintances, in this small town.

Her bag magically reappeared in the locker room.  Though it had obviously been gone through, nothing was taken.

Linking up this photo with Teresa today....

  23. Hmm...maybe the thief figured in a small town, they might eventually be caught and decided it wasn't worth it! So glad she got it back. I do agree small town people can really rally around you!

  28. So wonderful! I guess they thought her purse or wallet would be there with money or credit cards. So glad nothing was taken! And how awesome to have friends offer to loan equipment during her time without!

  32. That house has excellent bones. It needs the right family to fall in love with it.

A very mixed story today. The theft must have made your daughter quite angry and sad. Yes, it is a good result in the end that it came back without loss, but it is one more incident on the path to lost innocence.
