Thankful Thursday

Thankful today for my daughter's softball team.  After suffering an ankle sprain at first base, they rallied around her with the kind of support every fourteen year old would be fortunate to have.  After gathering together to carry her out to the truck, they continued with calls, texts, and outpourings of encouragement.

After a ER visit, we are resting at home for the day.  We are so blessed to live in this community.

Linking up with Teresa today.....

  12. Well I was born in a small town
And I live in a small town
Probably die in a small town
    Oh, those small communities

"All my friends are so small town
My parents live in the same small town
My job is so small town
    Provides little opportunity"
    J. Mellencamp
    ... ain't it the truth.

  18. That's great! I'm glad your girl has so many supportive friends. :). Small towns are wonderful that way. I grew up in a small town in Maine, (about 3000 people.) My parents still live there. Just a beautiful place with beautiful people. They love to know everyone's' business, lol, but they are there in a heartbeat when another person needs help and encouragement.

  28. Teenaged girls can alternate between being the most vicious humanoids short of the Taliban and just as sweet as can be. Glad your daughter received the sweet behavior from her friends and teammates.

Sorry my visits have been rare. New grandchild is taking a lot of time, and you can't rely on having electricity. In fact, a power outage is schedlued for five minutes from now. (Yes, I said scheduled.)

  29. Helpfulness is always nices in a small town as we know from our own experiences. Hope your daughter is feeling better and on the mend to resume play soon. Enjoy your weekend, Michelle!
