Thankful Thursday

The fantastic fence of my neighbor.

Thankful this Thursday for laundry on the line, vegetables growing in the garden and dogs who like to snuggle.  For me, it really has come down to the little things in life.  Big things are just icing on the cake.  Day to day life has so much to offer.

"To be really great in little things, to be truly noble and heroic in the insipid details of everyday life, is a virtue so rare as to be worthy of canonization."

Harriet Beecher Stowe

  1. I liked your mention of you enjoying the little things in life . . . I felt that yesterday with our glorious weather, sitting on the porch listening to bird songs surrounding me . . . good book in hand!
Great . . . well built sturdy fence, for Good Fences!

  6. Interesting fence photo. Is it just a fence section, or does it have more to it than I'm seeing on my computer screen?

  14. Nice fences. I was feeling that today. Nice weather here. I was so energetic to clean windows today . Hubby helped. He was feeling the same as I. Now we can see better after a long winter of not clean windows. Everything looks much greener.

  25. Agreed! so many people I know say they can't wait for their vacation once a year to unwind and enjoy life, for us here in the country, we do this everyday. When people do stop and enjoy everyday life just as a vacation, they will understand how much better life can be.

  26. Hooray for the little things! The "insipid details of everyday life." I'm thankful for those too.

But I have to admit I find your neighbor's fence puzzling. :)
