Stay Cool

As you read this I am watching a softball tournament in, what feels like, one-thousand degree heat.  Appreciate your air conditioning right now....

  1. And there is no controlling it. It is so hot here I can't go out till evening and then there is not much time to get anything done. Were that I was still a young one and the heat didn't bother me so.

  2. I dont envy you sitting out in that thousand degree weather. Just from the house to the car is enough for me. Like the morning glory tho!

  3. I feel for you. Gotta go out shortly to work a booth at a local festival. Just quit raining. Let's hope it cools things off and not create steambath conditions. And, yes, on days like this I do appreciate my A/C.

  4. A perfect quote! It is hot here too but probably not as bad as at your place!

  7. I know how you feel. It is about 93 degrees in Hartford with high humidity. So, I am watching the Open with the air conditioning going full blast. BUT, you have the fun of watching your daughter and her friends play. My day is pretty good, but I would say your day is even better.

  8. We don't have air conditioning but it is cooler in the house with the fans going than out cutting wood. I just keep drinking water when I am out working. I try to stay out of the sun when I can and wear long sleeves which helps.

  11. Oh, poor you! It's sweltering, isn't it? We had such strong storms and lightning that our power went out for a few hours this afternoon. It started getting a little muggy inside and we were really glad the power came back before we were too uncomfortable!

  12. Indeed. Today though it was hot we had a nice breeze which made it all bearable...:)

  13. I hope it passes. Maybe the cool rain we've been enjoying will head your way.

  17. Pretty morning Glory. Believe me I'm very thankful for our A/C - We are back in the upper 90's and even triple digits again and it's so nice to just stay inside.

  18. What a change from the seemingly perpetual spring we were in! I am glad for some heat, at the moment, it will make fall feel well earned :)

  22. Ha! Nice quote. Actually our weather is pretty nice right now. We had some some pretty warm days last week, but atm it's just right. Pretty shot of the morning glory, although they are one of my least favorite flowers. There is a variety of them that grows like weeds that we've been fighting in our garden for the past few years. So I'd much rather just see them in photos (rather than real life).

  23. I just moved to a "smaller" town but not a small town. I'm enjoying your blog. I may just have to keep downsizing.
