Friday Randoms

What do you do when you need some potatoes for a recipe?  Why, you grab a basket and go dig them from the garden.  Plenty more await my efforts.  Pictured are Yukon Gold and a few potatoes of the purple variety.

Most of us have suffered through the airline safety briefing.  This flight attendant makes it much more enjoyable.

Who doesn't love Meryl Streep?  Here are a few things we can all learn from her fashion sense.

Here are a few sports photos.  Some are guaranteed to make you look twice.

How about another old school song for this Friday?  Kool & the Gang will be making their appearance at the Kentucky State Fair pretty soon.

Go forth and have a great Friday!!!!!!!

  1. Good morning, my hubby loves his potatoes and probably would love to be able to run outside and dig out a few for each meal. The flight attendant video is cute, I have had a few funny flight attendants on Southwest Airlines. Happy Friday, have a great weekend!

  13. Your potatoes look good! We're harvesting ours as needed for cooking. Before winter begins we'll dig the rest to keep for use during cold weather.

  15. Hi Michelle. Just getting caught up on some of your recent posts. Wish I had time to stop by more often. Those fresh taters look great. The tent meeting is fascinating... only seen those on TV! Also, love the little log cabin with all its acreage. Very cool... you could use it on weekends, and rent it out on AirBnB when your not using it!

  20. Michelle,
Love a fresh potato right from the garden and even though I am partial to Russets (my loyalty to my farm in Idaho) I do adore mashed yukon potatoes-wire basket included:) I got a real kick out of the video and isn't Meryl Streep fabulous and I like how she keeps her wardrobe simple and classy with black and white.
    Enjoy your Sunday!

  21. I've never seen nor eaten a purple potato before. Do they taste different from regular potatoes?
Meryl does seem to know her fashion style. I'd be bored just wearing so much black/white.
    Enjoyed the amazing sports shots.

  24. Loved that flight attendant's safety gig. I wonder if the airline regulators are laughing along with him. AND, there are some GREAT sports photos there. They make me feel so inadequate . . .
