Thankful Thursday

A different kind of fence photo today for Theresa's link up.  Last weekend was spent in the great state of Indiana at a fast pitch softball tournament.  The girl of the house pitched and did a great job.  We are always so proud of her efforts.  Yes, they won the tournament :)

Thankful today for my growing children who always seem to keep me busy.  Ball tournaments and trap shoots have filled our days.  Helping the boy child of the house navigate adult work routines and future decisions, while keeping the girl child in a new high school routine, makes for a busy life.

Parenthood has been a challenge.....something only my Dad was honest about when my children came along.

Busy I am and thankful I am....

Linking up today with Theresa......

  7. I agree, parenthood is a challenge. But I wouldn't want to miss it for anything. Good luck with the new high school routine - "we" are in our senior year, it's kind of bittersweet already.

  9. I know almost nothing of baseball and softballs, but I guess she is doing quite well. I would be more at ease at trap shoots...

  12. You're doing really good dealing with a full-time job and parenting. It's a juggling situation, for sure. I'm happy for you to have the summer off with them. My busiest part of my job I had was in the summer. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

  13. Congratulations on the tournament win for your daughter, and the son starting the 'rest of his life'. Parenting is the hardest job anyone can ever have. We dont get do-overs!

  14. Neat action shot of your daughter pitching ball with the fencing in the background. - Our kids were never really into sports and neither is Coleen so I haven't had to attend games. Of course she's more into things like Piano and Choir so we attend that type of stuff instead. I agree parenthood can be challenging but also rewarding.

  16. Yes, part of having growing children are all the extra curricular activities. This pitcher rocks:) For my kids they were the piano- and voice lessons, the driving lessons, the youth meets. But now the kids have flown out of the nest, I am so happy as a parents I was able to give my kids that time, because it enriched their lives.

  22. What an awesome photo! As a parent of four, I totally understand the joy and challenges of parenting-it is a mixed pot of emotions and responsibilities. However, you can see back and rest just a bit now, on a job well done!
