Frosty Days

We are on our way.

We had our first frost of the season this past weekend.  A chill set in, only to be broken by a fire in the wood stove.

"All that is gold does not glitter, not all who wander are lost; the old that is strong does not wither, deep roots are not reached by the frost."

  1. The one thing that our 120 year old home does not have is a fireplace. A wood burning stove is on the want list. It would have been perfect this last weekend!

  2. Over 5 months of cold, I don't look forward to it other than the bugs disappear. I try not to wear rubber boots in the cold as I think that is when they crack.

  15. Love the photo, Michelle! I had frost in our area too but not in our yard which is shrouded in trees. We are supposed to have a slight warm up but know it's only a matter of time :) Lovely post.
