Here He Comes

Wet, cool weather brings all kinds of animals out in the open.  I like to think more along the lines of artistic spiders showing off their webs with drops of early morning dew, but I ran into this slick, little guy while out for a walk.

He was very busy trying to cross the path of the new asphalt on our small, country road.

It took him over ten minutes to cross a road the width of one car.

Determination is everything in life........

Linking up today with Mersad.....

  1. I saw one at our old house that was a good 6 inches long. Here they are only an inch long and teeny. Spiders come into my house when it gets cool.

  3. I don't like those old slugs...nor spiders...pretty webs, tho.
Spiders are coming into our house so gotta spray under all the doorways today...

  4. I try not to be squimish, but slugs sort of make me crazy. I need to think of them as snails that left their shell at home. Slow but steady fellow...

  5. Slugs.. UGH.. we have way too many of them in Oregon.. shiny slick trails all over the place. The dog has snuck some into the house in his mouth unbeknownst to me and only later do I see.. shiny slick trails all over the living room carpet and a dried up slug at the end. UCKY. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

  10. I don't really like slugs but you found the beauty. It's always there even if difficult to see sometimes.

  11. Great capture of that slimy little guy! Although I admire his determination, I have to say that I do not admire that feeling on the bottom of your foot when you step on one with no shoes on. Can I just say....YUCK! :)

  14. This guy is so colourful. The slugs here are a drab gray colour.

  16. He is much like the little engine that thought he could.
Living in Texas we have a slug problem in the Spring and early Summer and they are ravenous creatures!

  17. I wonder why it needed to cross the road! Seems like it went to an awful lot of trouble to find the same stuff it left behind.

  18. He is not much of a looker, is he?
