Slow Sunday

It's a slow Sunday here in central Kentucky.  Cool and rainy weather make for a perfect day.  Maybe a walk is in my future for the afternoon or maybe baking a cake.....perhaps both.

Either way, it's perfect day here on the rolling hills of the Farmette.

Here's hoping your day is just as perfect.
Let me know what you're up to......

Linking up the roof top of our barn with Tom today.....

  1. Rained over night so it is cool and damp here and the good thing is that it rained on the plowed garden so I got that done in time.
I need to get in the stable and move things around for fresh hay to come in but I won't do much as I am tired.

  8. It does look like a beautiful day there, and any day is more beautiful with cake! Just working on catching up with my blog reading. We had a busy day yesterday. We went to a 5K where some of my family members ran, then went to a Candidate Assessment meeting where we saw 4 candidates...and then to a book signing where we finally caught up with Dr. Ben Carson. So, I'm pretty much taking it easy today. :)

  11. Michelle -- Our Sundays were the same -- rainy and cool. It is the beginning of our winter rainy season when there are not very many days when it does not rain. After such a dry hot summer I am looking forward to the cool rainy days. Nice photo -- barbara

  12. Hello Michelle!:) Nice through the fence. roof top picture. Sundays are always quiet, and lazy in our house, I collected windfall apples and baked an apple pie though, and some chestnuts for tea.

  15. It's cloudy and looks like rain today. Running errands and seeing the doctor. Later I will start getting the trailer ready for one more road trip before winter.

  16. You captured the mood of the day perfectly. It was similar here . We day ended watching a hot air balloon drift over our house & land gently in an adjacent field...:)

  17. Cool and rainy sounds quite nice! It's sunny and in the high 80s here, which makes one feel guilty if one is not outside enjoying the weather. (Although, my Sunday consisted of enjoying the weather through the open sunroof as I ran errands.) : ) Hope all's well in your world!

  19. I love visiting your blog. I miss living in the country. So your post bless me. Thanks so much for coming over and luring me here each time.
I am sorry I'm not doing much visiting right now. Between work, crocheting Christmas and quilts. I have a lot of Christmas to finish and not a lot of time. And my theme posts on my blog the next couple of months make not a real good visiting friend. I truly am sorry. I love that you comment so I can come over and say 'hi'. Thanks for your comments.
    Have a wonderful week.

  22. I would sure take some of those rolling hills...or go on a little farther southeast to my Tennessee mountain home of my youth.
