Friday Randoms

A fleeting glimpse of Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill.  To learn more, just click here.

As a teacher, I confess some adoration to anything school related.  To all those who feel the same, check out this eatery.  I happen to have some of those cafeteria trays right here in my own kitchen.

The public restroom.....do we even need to talk about this?  Wouldn't it be nice if all public facilities looked as great as these examples?

Is there anything quit like the quintessential American farmhouse?  Here are a few classic examples and they are actually for sale.  Be still my heart.....

I will leave you with one of my favorite songs by Jennifer Nettles.  Wishing all of you a wonderful weekend.

  1. While on my recent road trip across the USA I have seen many public restrooms. The best ones were in Las Vegas :) But the images of those in the link should be a must read for city officials. :)

  2. What fun this morning! The Lunchbox Restaurant looks fun and I might just move to the farmhouse in New York. What a stunning area! Some of those bathrooms kind of gave me the creeps. Not sure why....they are pretty and innovative, but odd. I did like the distillery and the one in Colorado. I wonder how long the lines at the Far Side one is...I think I'd get caught up reading.

    1. Teresa, I have the same thought. Our old farmhouse is a beige color and I want it to be red and the barn to be blue!

  14. While I liked the old farmhouses, Michelle, I will confess that none were where I would want to leave now. We still have our own charming VA home to hopefully sell. Still looking at other places is always nice.
