Thankful Thursday

Thankful today for the tiniest moments I experience in one day's time.  Those moments when a student writes me a special note, I receive a hug, something interesting arrives in the mailbox, when the house is quiet for a few minutes, or when I finally find the softball sock that doesn't have a hole in it.  A multitude of small things happen in each of our lives everyday.  Put them together and they make it magnificent.

"I would maintain that thanks are the highest form of thought, and that gratitude is happiness doubled by wonder."

Gilbert K. Chesterton

  9. We all seem to take those tiny moments for granted. It's nice to be reminded to take a breath and see the things around us.

It's not what you look at but what you see.

    Thank you for that reminder!

  17. I bet our Lorelei would have like you for a teacher! She sure loved her teacher last year...and the teacher switched grades and asked for her again this year.

Last year she would raise her hand, and when Mrs. S would ask her what she needed, L would tell her she could use a hug.
