Friday Randoms
Just an old Chevrolet for your Friday viewing pleasure. Rusting in a pasture......
I totally need to do this. I know my dogs wouldn't mind.
If you liked last week's photo of the vintage soldier, then this gallery will surely be to your liking as well. Enjoy.
This week my Smalltownland school has been celebrating the birthday of Dr. Suess. Here are a few things he taught us about life.
Just a little more Steve Winwood and Eric Clapton for your weekend.
Linking up with Tanya today.....
What a cool truck! How sad it is rusting away in a field.
ReplyDeleteLove the photo of the blue truck! xoxo Su
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday, always enjoy the randoms, great tunes too.Blessings Francine.
ReplyDeleteLoved Juji :-).
ReplyDeleteGood morning, Dr. Seuss was a smart man. I like that he thought we should be taking care of our planet, after all it is the only one we will see in our lifetime. Happy Friday, enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great Friday post.
ReplyDeleteLove the giant dog photo-shop idea (I love pooches) . . . and those vintage soldier faces! . . .
and Dr. Seuss is so worth celebrating . . . and finally, thanks for the Winwood/Clapton tunes.
We are so in-sync.
Enjoy your Friday.
Our weather here is supposed to be great this weekend, so I'll be getting out,
enjoying as much as I can.
Have a good one.

ReplyDeleteI always enjoy your Friday randoms Michelle :) from the photogenic rusty old truck to the Steve Winwood/Eric Clapton clip.. This week I think Dr Suess's thoughts on life are the winner for me :)
ReplyDeleteNow ... who would have thought that old truck would make such a GREAT photo!
ReplyDeleteSome great links here especially the Winwood /Clapton one, thank you.
Enjoy the upcoming weekend
All the best Jan
oh my gosh the giant dog is a HOOT, will go back there again. SW and EC is one of my french hubbies favourites. And having been a step-Mom for some time some years ago Dr Seuss and I got to be real good friends :-) I miss these Fridays so should do something about this shouldn't I...my uncle had one of those trucks to bad it is just wasting away there, it is very handsome.
ReplyDeletelove the '58 Chevy
ReplyDeleteTGIF, I feel a bit like that truck!!! Thanks for the laugh!
ReplyDeleteThat is a 59 chevy, maybe a 1 1/2 ton farm truck. It is in good condition and someone could take the cab off and put it on a pickup frame to make a neat little truck.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the info on this truck. I agree it would be great if it could be repurposed.
DeleteThere is a little whimsy to it I guess, but it's sad to see this kind of human detritus littering the landscape.
ReplyDeleteDavid, it is sad to see this kind of ruin. I was far off the beaten path, on a tiny country lane. Unfortunately, some people do this around here.
Delete...and our local bookstores have Dr. Suess stuff all over. One even has some of his books at 1/2 price
ReplyDeleteLove the old truck.
great old truck.
ReplyDeleteI love the colors of old vehicles against the neutral colors of winter. Great shot!
ReplyDeleteGreat photo. And thanks for your comment on my blog about USC survey thing. I think your blog is commented on much more than mine, but I am starting to wonder now if there is really only a small group of us (10,000?) who post frequently and offer up "life tales." It does seem as though we cross paths with one another on a consistent basis.
ReplyDeleteMy guys would be horrified to see that beauty rusting in a field. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
ReplyDeleteGood randoms today! I love the old truck!
ReplyDeleteGood music and more good looking men. Guess it's all good!
I enjoyed the truck photo. :-)
ReplyDeleteLots of Dr. Seuss celebrations here as well.
ReplyDeleteThis photo is great. The turquoise and rust pop. When I'm in North Carolina, I see quite a few abandoned vehicles in fields. Makes me wonder what the story is….whose vehicle it is and how it got there. By the way, I love to hear you're celebrating Dr. Seuss in the classroom -- nice! Happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteI love the old truck! I've seen a similar post of guys in their military uniforms. They all look so handsome. Dr Suess rocks- he was always one of my favorites to read to my class when I was teaching first grade. I LOVE the giant dog shots- someone is quite imaginative!
ReplyDeleteHi Michelle, Really enjoyed the Friday 5. Especially, this from Dr. Seuss: "Recognize how wonderful your quirks are." Perhaps collecting old postcards? : ) Now that makes my day! Thanks, as always! : )
ReplyDeleteThe giant dog idea is so clever! I followed him on Instagram - thanks for that link. My husband has a little chihuahua and that would be so funny to make him a giant. And Dr. Seuss is a favorite - what a wise man.
ReplyDeleteI love that rusty Chevy truck! You know, I never thought about how much Dr. Seuss taught all of us. But, all of his life lessons are wonderful, and this was a great reminder.
ReplyDeleteI love the truck image as well as your banner shots.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Stephanie!
DeleteSomething very distinguished about the Chevy . . rust and all . . .
ReplyDeleteIf only it could tell us it's story . . . :)
Eddie, no doubt it has a lot of stories to tell!
Deleteahhh...i would love to have that pickup in my yard...my two favorite outdoor colors, turquoise and rust....xxoxo
ReplyDeleteBJ, two of my favorite colors as well!
DeleteBeautiful old rusty truck. - Enjoyed the dog photos very much. They were fun.- Nothing like a man uniform!
ReplyDeleteThat abandoned truck is a work of natural art!
ReplyDeleteWow! This was great! Thank you! I love Seuss, and classic rock, and vintage vehicles, and photos of abandoned things...thanks!
