Finding Joy

Today I found joy in lettuce.  I can't even eat it yet, but still....it gives me joy.

Despite our garden being flooded by recent storms, many things continue to flourish.  Take this lettuce, for example.  The smallest seeds overcame all of that water to take root and grow.

Finding joy in small things is so important.  Many times our days are made up of tiny, joyful moments that we might overlook.  This lady found some joy in a Chewbacca mask.  If you haven't watched it, you must.

"Focus on the journey, not the destination.  Joy is found not in finishing an activity, but in doing it."

  1. You are so right Michell, that too often we lose sight of the "little" things in life because we're too busy chasing bigger things that in the end bring may bring less joy. as Ferris Bueller wisely put it "Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and enjoy it...you may miss it!"

  11. I agree 100 percent - it is indeed the little things. Feel sorry for those who just can't see or appreciate them. Our Arugula managed to survive the rain onslaught and cool temps and is now thriving. Picking the first bunch for dinner tonight.
