Friday Randoms

Some sweet feet that belong to an upcoming graduate.

This will be on the menu next week....when school is out and I have time to think/cook.

Here you will find a list of historic Kentucky homes.  I will admit I haven't been to Loretta Lynn's childhood home.  Maybe a Jeep trip for the summer.

This Real Estate Sampler should have something for everyone.  I am especially partial to the historic Virginia farmhouse.

One of my favorite songs.  When it comes on the radio I turn it up and my daughter turns it down.  *sigh*

Linking up today with Nancy and Tanya.

  3. I had to laugh when my kids listened to a few of my favorite songs and laughed at the lyrics. Our tastes did blend a bit. Your area sounds fun. The smallest town I lived in was 450 people and boy did the word get around.I said i was hungry for home grown veggies and had moved before i could put in a garden. Each day I would come home to bags of goodies, one didn't lock there door , so my kitchen would be full.I learned to can that year.

  4. I giggled when I read you turn the volume up and your daughter turns it down! The chicken sounds good and I like it's a meal in one "dish". Love reading the "where you should visit" in each state. This was wonderful -- all those lovely homes. I didn't search the real estate ... guess I'm happy where I am ... the pond, the pond ... staycation! Love love love the foot -- congratulations to her.

  6. Beautiful Feet -
Now, THAT house looks like the story of Loretta Lynn, doesn't it?

Lynyrd Skynyrd - wow! It's been a while . . the first time i heard him live was Winterland in San Francisco - a looong time ago - and Charlie Daniels was the warm-up act - sweet.

  8. Congrats to your daughter on her upcoming graduation, Micelle. That was a very original and cute photo opp too.
I enjoyed the link to the video of one of your favorite songs...and it reminded me of one of mine "Ride Like the Wind." Turning up the volume is ALWAYS needed on songs like these.
Thanks too for the link to the recipe...sounds like one to try soon.

  16. What a cute foot photo! Going places! I would like to visit Loretta Lynn's current place. There is a cemetery on her land. She says that it and her home are haunted. Bill plays Call Me the Breeze on his guitar. His band used to play it. You do these well.
