Thankful Thursday

Thankful this Thursday for things gone wrong that could have been worse.  Tuesday, of this week, the girl of the house broke her collarbone while playing shortstop in the district championship game.  The runner from second base plowed into her, thus causing the injury.

While the collarbone is broke, she does not need surgery.  A clean break that will, hopefully, heal on its own.  We go back in four weeks to check the healing process.  Some Netflix and chill time at the farmette should be all that is required.

Thankful we are......

  3. Oh no! I am glad the injury was not worse. The downtime at this time of year will be hard on her...and you...but might be kind of nice, too.

  12. Glad it was not worse, but to her, it was a very bad thing to happen. It prevents her from doing one of the things, she enjoyed. The best to a rapid healing.

  13. Truly much to be thankful for. I think having surgery would be worse (I hate surgeries). Prayers for a speedy healing. - Love the pretty grasses growing by your fence.

  14. Yikes. She is probably more upset about having to sit on the sidelines while her teammates are still playing. Glad to read that it is an injury that can heal on its own. Good luck to her.
