The Big Slow Down

Summer may not be official on the calendar, but it is certainly showing itself around this old house.  The girl continues to heal well.  Netflix is helping her along.  The men of the house are working and I start my day with extra coffee and a long walk.

The garden is growing and the sun is shining.

What more could one ask for?

I love this time of year! Everything is blooming, makes me happy. Well, except for the weeds!

  2. Exactly! My grands were running around in the garden last night and I asked them if they were enjoying summer...their enthusiasm was contagious. I always loved summer when my kids were in school..just not having to get up every morning at a certain time was the best part!

    1. Terri, I agree! Having slow, peaceful mornings is the best part for me. Not having the alarm clock go off and staying up to watch a movie, what joy!
