Thriller, Filler, Spiller

Today I went in search of some flowers, because it is that time.  I got sidetracked and ended up buying some Lavender.  I have never had any luck growing this plant from seed.

Some Dianthus was also in order.

I also picked up some Coreopsis for some thriller.  I decided to use the thriller, filler, spiller,  method for some container gardening.

I also picked up some crazy, corkscrew plant and I don't even know the name.

Currently I am lacking in the, "filler", part, but everything should fill out in the next couple of weeks.

  1. I'll think of the "thriller, filler, spiller" concept as I put my containers together this year . . .
A must for a pretty container pots of flowers!
Now for some warmth here in the north so things will start growing.
Still quite chilly here where I am in Michigan!

My redbud trees in D.C. are growing little leaves. I have two I planted in W.V., and I haven't been there in a month. I HOPE Bambi and cousins haven't eaten them, but I'm worred.

  6. Your flowers look very pretty, Michelle. I love lavender and it does well here. Your flowers look pretty, MichelleMy garage is full of plants waiting to be planted. Unfortunately they will have to wait until the weather warms up--we've been having snow showers for three days! Happily the snow is only sticking ti the grass and not the road or walkways.

  8. I went shopping for pots and came back with vege seedings as well ... woops. And lets not talk about that time earlier in the week I came out with african violets which is why I needed the pots. Your pot will look very pretty and colourful when it fills out.

  14. I love the plants you got. The Dianthus I have just like yours comes back every year without fail. So, don't pull it out when it dies back for winter.. it will be gorgeous again next year! I also like the lime green leaves. Fun stuff! ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
