Moooooooooooooo

On a Sunday grocery run I came across this lovely herd of cows.  I have always admired how clean they are.  If you have ever had cows, you know how unusual that can be.

Ours are not concerned with cleanliness.  In fact, it seems quite the opposite.  However, this group is all about looking good and making friends.  When I stopped to snap a photo, they came right up to the edge to moo a greeting.

Good neighbors, right there.

  1. This is unusual. The cows around here always look like they have been playing in the mud. These really are pretty. Milk cows I guess.

  4. It is a lovely photo, Michelle. Florida has a great many cows. I have read that Florida is second to Texas in the number of cattle. But, when I try to photograph cows, they are always widely scattered and I can't get an image that I like enough to show.

  8. Or sre they saying, mooooooove over! All that space and luscious grass and they have contained themselves in the boundaries of that old foundation. I think cows are fascinating, and they definitely do make lovely neighbors.

  14. I think cows are good neighbors if their fences are very very good. One time the neighbors cows kept getting loose and they were over here eating my bamboo! Finally they fixed the fence but not before we had lots of round-up rodeos around here. Your cows are gorgeous. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

  15. When I see clean cows in a movie or a commercial I wonder what the producers went through to get the cow that clean, and how long it lasted. It's nice that there's a neighborhood where cows are clean all the time.

  16. My grandmother had a small farm in northern Minnesota with about a dozen dairy cows which I helped milk when I would visit as a child. I loved the cows; those were fun days.

  23. What a great group shot, Michell, and the weather and scenery cooperated as well. And, no I didn't know about the cleanliness of cows, so have just learned something...thanks.

  24. How fun that they wanted to greet you, Michelle. I wonder if they are so clean because the farmer bathes them? Farmers don't do that, though, do they? Probably not. Great photo!
