Hummingbird Moth

This Hummingbird Moth buzzed in this past weekend.

This is the first time I have noticed him....or is it her?

Lately I have been too absorbed in keeping the bird feeders full to notice much else, not to mention my time outside in the heat has been limited.

This sweet thing was soon on its way to bigger and better flowers.

  6. The first time I ever saw a Hummingbird Moth was at a garden center.
I hooted and hollered, I was sooo excited.
I thought I had discovered a new phenomena of the universe.
They are kind of amazing . . . aren't they.
I wonder . . . how did they come to be??

  7. Hello Christine!:) Absolutely amazing captures of the Hummingbird Hawk Moth. It is so difficult to get clear photos as they are in constant motion. I spent a lot of time trying to get decent images of them in the Algarve, where I saw them this year, but was not always successful. Well done!!

  11. Great photos, but unfortunately, we kill all the caterpillars for them here. Tomato worms are very destructive.
