Tucked In for the Day

Only in Kentucky can you have temps in the 60's with a tornado watch one day and the next have icy conditions with a bit of snow and a high temp of 27 degrees.

These photos are straight out of the camera to show how strange and gloomy it was yesterday.

Dark clouds would hover and the winds would blow.

Then, a bit of light would appear.

It would brighten up for a bit, then more clouds would blow through the farmette.
The Lady of the Yard is all set for the weather.

So is our English Pointer.
Here he is tucked into a bone wearing his new sweater.

Today is a day for staying home and staying indoors.  The Christmas cards will get finished, a pot of chili will be made, and movies will be watched.

  1. ...and here I thought that Upstate New York weather was fickle. I'll stick with whatI have, thanks. Many a day we have skies like this. Thanks for stopping by and taking time from all your Christmas activities. Merry Christmas.

  2. It was very gloomy here yesterday too. Your dog has the right idea.

  3. It is cold and sunny so very bright with all the snow we got this week!

  4. Here in north Mississippi we went from 60 down to 31 in just a few hours last night.
    Cute pup!
Hope you have a wonderful Christmas!

  5. Great images and quote.. I guess I need to put a scarf and hat on my art nouveaux lady garden statue!

Sounds like you had the perfect winter day. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

  6. Like your Lady of the Yard . . .
    Nice pointer!

  7. Same changes here, as well.
    Very cold and icy now.
We must rise above the gloom
    and celebrate the holidays.
Glad to see your Lady of the Yard
is all decked out for Christmas.
    Love it.

  8. Sometimes I like those dark and gloomy days...they provide great justification for staying inside and doing absolutely nothing! Love the yard lady!

  9. Well, we've had the same dang weather in Connecticut - 50's yesterday, misty rain and blustery wind, 19 this morning.

  10. Moody skies! Pretty too, all at the same time.
That lady's nipples...well, never mind. I guess we could safely say, she's cold?!! lol

    Cute poochie sweater too.

It went from 73 to 38 here. This morning it's only 33. Just above freezing.
Did someone say "Chili" and Movies?!!!! I'm so there!!!!

  11. Love your Lady of the Yard's fashion statement!Lol...cute idea.
Also the new sweater on the pup...
Have a fun snuggling day and stay warm!

  12. I just love your lady...and the sweater for your puppy...and it was very strange here the last couple days, weather wise...and COLD...but today is looking better. Stay warm, little small town girl.

  13. Does look chilly. Wonderful photos.
Hope you got those cards done and enjoyed that chili. : )

  14. Sounds like a great way to spend the day! I'm glad everyone is covered up and staying warm.
It was 17 here on Sunday. Today it was 19 when I went to work at 9. I am not sure how much warmer it got. I came home and I'm staying in!
Hope you have a great week. I'll see you on Thurs.
    Merry Christmas!

  15. I'm glad to see you got some clothes on the Lady of the Yard!

  16. The weather looks ominous - but your day inside sounds perfect!
