Watered Down Sunday

It's a wet Sunday here in central Kentucky.  My oldest dog is always insistent about going on walks with me.  After about fifteen minutes, we became drenched in a downpour.  After waiting a few minutes, it was over and we were back outside.

I believe my afternoon will be encompassed by finishing up the PBS series, Manor House.  If you enjoy historical accuracy, and the Edwardian time period, you will appreciate this series.  PBS has other series, such as Frontier House and 1900's House.  These are a great peek into our history as a society.

Linking up the tiny barn in this photo with, The Barn Collective.

  4. A lovely pic! It's on rainy days that I'm glad I don't have a dog anymore but at least I would have had a walk & a good friend to share it with.

  7. Oh, Michelle I loved all these...except we didn't watch colonial home because some of the women refused to do as the women would have done. And we didn't see the Victorian Farm...going to have to see if I can find it somewhere to watch. And really can't remember about a couple others. But I loved the 1900s house, and Frontier House...and Manor House. So glad you mentioned them.

  16. A lovely rainy day! Looks like the many rainy days we have had recently. I quite like rain, it has a very soothing sound, even if it is a wild downpour. Your picture captures this mood - very beautiful.

  20. It's been misty weather here - the soft tiny drops in the air feels nice, when you're walking about! The fog creates another look in the surroundings - a quiet blanket, that silences you to be more focused on the things you see ...

  21. Our rain has turned into snow this afternoon.
I just might take a look at Manor House. Thanks.

  22. Thanks for stopping by, it's good to be back. As always your pictures are gorgeous and it was fun to catch the tiny barn in the distance. I will check out Manor House. It's on my kindle fire for free, so should be good. Right now, I'm watching old Inspector Lewis from 2008 and keep falling asleep on them. Not that they boring and Oxford is always such an interesting place to visit.

  23. Love your photograph, Michelle. Nothing quite like a drippy, wet afternoon and an old dog to walk with.

  27. It rained in Naples last weekend, too. I try to walk at least 10,000 steps a day (about five miles) and needed to do some walking on Sunday to get my step count up. So, I went outside and started walking despite the threatening weather. Where do you think I was when the cloudburst began? Of course. At the very furthest point in my walk. But, I am "wash and wear," so I just toweled off and changed clothes when I got back.
