Friday Randoms

One of Smalltownland's old homes that has a great view of the nightly sunset.  Built around 1840, it still stands, though it remains uninhabitable.

What happens when an eclipse, a full moon, and a comet come into play at the same time?  I don't know either, but I guess we will find out tonight.

Winter Storm Niko may be wreaking havoc in your area, but you still might appreciate these photos of it.

My daughter got me hooked on the new Netflix show, Stranger Things, and I loved it.  Here is some info about Season Two.....not due until Halloween!

Leaving you with some Willie Nelson for the weekend.
Enjoy!

Linking up with Tanya today!

  4. Pretty sunset. It always makes me a bit sad to think of a house that once was a home, filled with family, sitting abandoned. Hoping it will be clear enough to see the show in the sky tonight.

  5. Lovely sunset first shot Michelle, sunsets and sunrises are the one thing that we can be sure of these days. Loved the snow shots, the snowman hitch hiking for a ride to Florida made me smile ☺

  6. ooh that house! What a shame that it's been left to it's own devices - that view is priceless.

  7. Your photo looks so peaceful and inviting as we are buried under a foot of snow from Winter Storm Niko here on Long Island. I love the winding road and sunset.

  15. Hi Michelle, Your photography just keeps getting better and better. I clicked on your opening photo today to view the larger image and just sat there staring at it on my screen for a few minutes. Wow. The lighting is just perfect. The mood fits so well with the bare trees and look of winter in the clouds too. The cabin must have quite a history! This is one of those kind of photos that makes me wish I could see the place in person. Thanks for sharing another fine Friday Five!

  18. Thanks for your recent comment about Lincoln's birthplace being near Smalltownville. That does narrow it down. You are closer to a couple of the bigger cities than I would have thought from following your posts for years.
