Just a Random Tuesday

Straight out of the archives, this photo features an old time hardware store located on my small town square.  Currently for sale, you could be my neighbor.

Sunday afternoon we had over forty Robins in our yard.  It was quite a sight.  With the rain and cold temperatures, I think they have hunkered down in their nests.

The time change had my students sleepy and worn out by lunchtime, Monday.

What's happening in your world?

  1. Hello, I hope someone buys the old hardware store. The worms do not have a chance with 40 Robins around, lol. The time change can hard on us all. Enjoy your day and the week ahead!

  2. Love this old store. Frozen in time.
    Hope it gets recycled.
    It's spring break here . . . and I must be
the only one who's NOT in Florida.
It's ok though, catching up on selfish pleasures,
like going to the river, shooting pics, museums
    and SLEEPING IN. Ha.

  6. Tuesday already? I better get going. I haven't adjusted to time yet either. I keep thinking that the dogs are used to eating and meds at a certain time, etc. At least it will be a little warmer today.

  11. Forty robins! Oh I would have loved to see that Michelle. It must be difficult to get used to the hour difference and just as you do, they change it back ☺

  12. I've seen couple of large flocks of robins here. They will be cold today - hope they are all cuddled together.

  13. I miss those old timey hardware stores, mainly because the owner and employees knew their merchandise and could give you real help.

  14. we didn't get any snow - none, zero, zip!! if you watched the news, you would have though the world in new jersey was coming to an end. it's super cold now and super windy and we had a lot of rain. thank goodness it wasn't this cold when it rained, it would have been a ton of snow for sure!!!

  17. That old storefront reminds me of the one in my grandparents tiny town in Oklahoma.. Fay. When we'd visit grandma would give us each a nickel to go buy candy. Now it's a ghost town. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

  19. It will be interesting to learn whether it will be another small-scale local business that takes over the space or whether it will be Baskin Robbins or Dunkin Donuts or another national chain.
