So are the Days of Our Lives.....

Our days are full of softball these days.  The girl of the house just turned sixteen, so she isn't driving on her own yet.  We still meet up after school for drives to practice or to catch the game bus.

Her high school team is made up of the best group of young women, this year.  They have been playing ball together since they were little girls.

They are currently region champs and will be headed to the state tournament at the end of April.

Not to be outdone, the young man of the house is building large structures.  He is on the left.  It seems the backside of him is the best picture I can get these days.

"I find the best way to give advice to your children is to find out what they want  and advise them to do it."

Harry S. Truman

    1. Tom, it is pretty common practice now for players, especially pitchers, to wear a safety mask. For a while she even wore a special chest protection shirt after she took a line drive to the chest.

  28. She is a winner, that girl of yours. My daughter played softball two decades ago, but they didn't wear those face masks. I guess at the higher levels of softball, the ball comes back at you pretty fast.
