Friday Randoms

You know you live in a small town when the local florist calls to double check your order of prom flowers, because he can't read his, "memaw's" handwriting on the order form.
 I love it.

Yes, prom is happening this weekend and the girl of the house is attending with a group of friends.  Here are a few prom fails from Jimmy Fallon.

If all football coaches could dance like this, it might be more fun to watch.

I guess healthy desserts are needed, but I am not putting kale in my chocolate chip cookies.

I heard some Johnny Cash at the ballpark this week, though it wasn't this gem.

Linking up with Tanya!
Have a great one!!

    1. I agree, desserts are supposed to be sinful. They are a treat! No substitutions for me :)

  4. Small town life has many appeals and I think on balance I would opt for it, but everyone sure knows your business. Many years ago I lived in a small town and banked at the only bank in town where my neighbour's daughter worked. Obviously she didn't pay much heed to her employer's privacy policy because it pretty soon became clear that her parents knew the details of my mortgage and a few other things. Needless to say, I closed my account and banked in another town.

    1. David, I had the same experience at a doctor's office, when I first moved here years ago. Needless to say, I switched doctors and things were great. It does take some getting used to.

I had left a very nice bookmark in a book that I returned to the library. They next time I went to the library Connie, the librarian gave it back to me. : )

    1. Kale in cookies is wrong! I don't like it all, much less in something sweet!

  9. Love the photo!
Small towns are the best. Jimmy Fallon is pretty good too! :)
Kale and chocolate just don't go together. The next one is chocolate mousse stuffed strawberries though and that sounds pretty good!
I don't think I ever heard that song before - it was good!

  10. I'm glad that you enjoy the small town life...I'm not sure I would fit in too well. I enjoy anonymity too much! :) I'm so old that if I remember correctly, it's my great-grandkids who will be going to the prom soon!

    1. Lowell, the learning curve for me was steep when I first moved here and it took a few years for me to adjust, but I do like it. I had always been anonymous.

  13. Small town life is something we know very well as the VA eastern shore town we lived in for 12 years was one such place and indeed you do get to know nearly everyone. Enjoyed the football coach busting some moves. Enjoy your Easter weekend, Michelle.

  14. The prom sounds wonderful - youth and the lovely rituals and feasts!
The glow of the sun is just amazing in your photo - The sun has been shining here as well, yet the temperature is rather chilly ... the warmth is just around the corner, I hope!

  15. Haha! Love Jimmy Fallon ☺ there's no kale going in my cookies either Michelle, that's just too weird ☺ Aimee makes a super delish blondie. The coach showed that you never forget those dance moves.. I remember having to learn Zorba's dance for an occasion, still break into the moves when I hear the music ☺
