Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to my Mom today.  I think one doesn't realize the sacrifice and hard work it takes to be a parent....until you become one yourself.  In this photo, she and I were having our passport photos taken, to join my Dad in England.

"Motherhood is a great honor and privilege, yet it is also synonymous with servant hood.  Everyday women are called upon to selflessly meet the needs of their families.  Whether they are awake at night nursing a baby, spending their time and money on less than grateful teenagers, or preparing meals, moms continuously put others before themselves."

  1. Some truth in that Charles Stanley quote . . .
That "making meals" and the dreaming up what to have
can still wear me out . . . I like "scrap nights!"
Do you remember being in England when you were a young tot?
    Happy Mom's Day Michelle . . .

    1. Lynne, I do remember living in England. I had the best babysitter who used to break off a piece of her lipstick for me, when I like the shade! lol
