Better Late Than Never

Hello.....anyone out there?

It's been a whirlwind weekend with little time at the computer, or at the farmhouse for that matter.  The trio below completed their second Spartan Race on Saturday.  4 miles of running and 25 obstacles made up this course.  As you can see, it is a messy endeavor and quite challenging at that.  The girl of the house is on the left, the farmer man is in the middle, and the young man of the house is on the right.  The young man had already finished the race and had hosed himself off by the time the other two were finished.  It was so messy you could even elect to be pressure washed....seriously.

The girl and her dad always stay together and do a great job of finishing.  The young man, however, is all about the competition.  This race, in a field of 2900 men, he finished 97th.

Would it surprise you to know that after this crazy event the girl went and pitched a softball game?  She also spent the entire day, today, pitching and playing ball with her travel team.

Squeezing all the life out of summer we can.

  3. The lad had an impressive race. And your daughter tires me out just thinking about it. I prefer photographing these events. (Not as dirty or sweaty.)
