Thankful Thursday

Thankful today for great views on my way to work each morning.  Yesterday I received an alert on my cell phone for dense fog.  Score!  I packed up my camera and set out toward town.  I took a few shots only to discover, when I came home, that I didn't have my memory card in the camera.  What to do?  Get over it and press on.....what else is there to do?

Move forward today....in all you do.

Be thankful, shout it out, and link it up.  I would love to hear from you.

  2. When I don't have a memory card the photos go to internal memory and then I have to read the manual to figure out how to transfer them over to the card and then load them to the computer. It isn't hard, I just can't remember how to do it as I don't do it often, maybe your photos are in the camera?

  4. I am also a lover of fog and I did the exact same thing last week...I went out to take a few pics but my camera won't even function without the card. I knew exactly where the card was too...on the coffee table...oh well. I love bales of hay...one of my favorite things to photograph!

    1. Debby, my camera acts like it is working and has a message on the screen that there is not a card. If you don't look at it, you don't know! Oh well!

  6. I always like to see hay bales in the fields.
Some farmers here still do the rectangular bales. I hardly ever get to photograph them as they gather them up quickly and get them under shelter because they don't have the protective wrapping of the larger round bales.
    Have a great day!

  8. I have done that, left the memory card in the reader by the computer. I have extra ones in my bag, but I don't always take the entire bag, so I end up crying. Well, quite disappointed anyway. Lovely shot of the bales though.
Enjoy the rest of your week,
    Andrea

  9. There are some gorgeous views on my way out and so much fog year round if it's early or late enough but no good place to take pictures from. A nice fall shot with the hay bales. Don't feel bad, I forgot to put in the memory card for a wedding once and didn't see the warning message because I wasn't wearing reading glasses and shot the entire ceremony with no card!

  14. Yup, been there and done that too. I have to use the internal memory which allows me nine sots and then it's time for the manual to find out how to get them off. I never remember how to do that. :)

  16. I've been taking a morning walk in the fog for the past week.
Too bad about the pictures getting lost. The other week I accidentally erased all my walk pictures off the camera before downloading them onto my computer.

  17. I've done the same thing with the memory card as well as the battery. Or, more usually, I forget to charge the battery. Or I forget to format the memory card and end up with tons of old photos that I've got on my computer already. But I'm old...so I've got an excuse!

  18. That has happened to me also, and not just once! ;)
