Thankful Thursday

Thankful for making it through a crazy week.  The men of the house were in Colorado on an Elk hunt and we ladies were in charge of everything.  Of course, we handled it with grace, elegance, and much enthusiasm.  Softball games were played, cows were tended, and all ended well.  Were the guys successful....not this time, but they have big plans to return.

Thankful for new challenges, new routines, and making it through new experiences.

Life is good.

What are you thankful for today?  Link it up and shout it out.  Small things are just as important and the big things.....

It's a Small Town Life

  2. Something to share with you elk hunters http://www.pennlive.com/pa-sportsman/2015/11/elk_hunters_find_monster_bulls.html
Elk once roamed the entire state of PA and we have a county named Elk. A little closer to home for your hunters and their new pursuit.

  9. Beautiful photo! Elk hunting in Colorado...I miss it! I'm not sure we were ever successful, but I loved the time in the outdoors each year with my hubby and father-in-law. (The rest of the extended family were often successful, and would share the bounty. Yum.) :-)

  12. I'm glad you both enjoyed some girl time together, Hunting would not be an activity I'd seek out myself, but many here enjoy it. I'm thankful for happy days being a grandparent...my grandkids are growing up fast so I try to savor all the time I have with them ;)
