Thankful Thursday

My son with his giant buck, taken on opening weekend.

Thankful this Thursday for this rag tag group of men!  You wouldn't know it by looking at this photo, but it is chock full of government officials, a doctor, local business owners, and police officers.  Since my son was little, he has joined them for their annual opening weekend of deer season camaraderie.  .  Full of stories, good food, gigantic breakfasts, tall tales, and an assortment of other things, it is a long standing tradition that my son enjoys.  As you can see, they are bringing some young hunters into their flock.

What are you thankful for this Thursday?  Be it big, small, unusual, or anything else, it is all important.  Take a moment and let me know!

  12. That is one awesome buck! We just returned from our son's place in TN where they just experienced their annual family hunt. My hubby got an 8-pointer...that was it for the weekend. That looks like a lot of great venison in that back of that truck!
