Thankful Thursday

Oh, so thankful this week.  The roof is almost finished...whew!  The gutters will be finalized next week and there looks to be no major problems with the roof.  When you own an old house, you just never know.  We had no idea what might be lurking underneath it all.   Thankful, I am!

What are you thankful for this week?  Link up and let me know!!

  2. You certainly should be thankful for a fixed roof Michelle. You never know what sorts of trouble it might try to spring on you!

  4. Do you remember the song, "This Old House," sung, I think, by Jo Stafford? Old houses, like people, deteriorate over time. I'm so glad that all the work done on your place is coming to an end and you'll soon be safe and snug under a new roof, gutters, etc. Safe and snug is a really nice feeling!

  5. I am thankful this week for the same thing I was thankful for yesterday, the week before. The daunting task of 2017 leaf pick up will be finished this morning!
Although, I thought this last week . . . but I am quite sure this is it.
Ten days, 4-6 hours each day, of blowing, raking, hauling, mowing millions, trillions of “dinner plate size” leaves . . . just might be looking at its final moment.
    And I am VERY THANKFUL.
(And then I will be thankful for green, fragrant, fir, spruce, cedar boughs!)
