The Word is Color

We do have bits of color here in central Kentucky.

Much of it has been dulled by dreary skies and damp weather.

So, we enjoy the bits we can and some of us wish for snow.

Most do not, but whatever.

  1. Sometimes dreary weather makes for good photos as there's less contrast. That last photo is a winner! Who would want snow? Santa, maybe? But...really? :)

  4. We're getting some good color now, but it's leaving quickly. Sumac is especially brilliant this year. The maples changed and dropped almost all leaves within just a few days; a few are still pretty though.

  8. This fall is definitely a strange one. The heat carries on as if it refuses to let go of summer. I am waiting for the leaves to change, but it seems they are going straight to death and falling. At least around here they are.

  18. No Autumn here this year, we went right to snow. Earliest since 2000 and before that 1953...yikes that bodes well!

  20. The soft pastel Autumn shades are just beautiful and the quote is undoubtedly one that someone of my age should have as a motto. (I wish my life could remain at this Autumn stage for a long long time, but I know .....)

  23. These are wonderful. They have a rather "moody" feel to them but I find it quite appealing. I am one of those who doesn't wish for ...snow.
