A December Tuesday

Christmas is in full swing here at the farmette.  Gifts have been ordered and one was even backtracked to Great Britain.  Maybe I need to go pick that one up myself...oh well, not gonna happen!  A girl can dream you know.

The primary school, where I teach, is incredibly  busy this week.  For example:

Cram the Cruiser - the Kentucky State Police show up, in force, and the students cram their cruisers with canned food for local pantries.

Two performances of the 2nd grade Christmas play, plus practice each day.  Whew....

Snack Table Day - this means more teachers cooking for each other...heaven.

Polar Express Day - wear your pajamas!!

Secret Santa (for teachers) is in full swing.

Do I dare tell you there is more on the schedule for next week?

It is all good.  So blessed to be in the mix of all of this.

  1. Oh how I remember those wonderful last two weeks before Christmas break (and summer and spring, ha-ha) I loved the anticipation that the kiddos had almost as much as my own. I didn't teach for long, due to family issues, but I did love it.

  8. Even my grandchildren are getting past the school play stage now, but I remember it was always fun to attend, even though sometimes I had to be cajoled a little into going.

we took all our grands on the Polar Express when they were little. Sooo much fun and excitement...then...this season, for some reason, they are no longer having it. Makes me sad.
